A New Paratrechina (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) from Machu Picchu, Peru
Abstract
Paratrechina burgesi n. sp. is described from 2 collections of workers from the vicinity of the Machu Picchu ruins. It is the first known species of Paratrechina with a reddish head and mesosoma and a black gaster, a color pattern common in some other ant genera.Downloads
