The Species of Scarabaeidae (Coleoptera) Associated with Sugarcane in South Florida
Abstract
Those species of Scarabaeidae known to be associated with sugarcane in the Lake Okeechobee area of Florida are discussed and delineated. The species are: Phyllophaga latifrons (LeConte), Anomala marginata (F.), Cyclocephala parallela Casey, Dyscinetus morator (F.), Ligyrus subtropicus (Blatchley), and Euphoria sepulchralis (F.). Descriptions and illustrations of the larvae of all these species are presented as well as descriptions and illustrations of the adults of all species except Euphoria sepulchralis (F.). A key to the south Florida species of the genus Cyclocephala is also included.Downloads
