Abstract
"This is a cartoon I made about controlled burns in the Everglades, inspired by the fact that longleaf pines are able to withstand low-intensity fires thanks to their thick bark, although they usually don’t know this. This means that controlled fires are able to clear out dry brush to prevent larger fires while at the same time leaving the larger trees unharmed. This illustration, like many of my cartoons, was created in the Procreate app." - Henry A. Moore
