Abstract

This document is about Mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG), which remains a persistent challenge in the commercial poultry industry worldwide, despite eradication efforts in grandparent stock and turkeys. The organism, fragile outside the host, causes long-term respiratory infections in chickens, complicating control in multi-age flocks. Original publication date May 2002.
