Vol. 4 No. 1 (2026): Journal of Assessment in Higher Education

This issue of the Journal of Assessment in Higher Education brings together selected proceedings from the 2024 and 2025 Assessment in Higher Education Conferences hosted at the University of Florida. These contributions reflect a period of renewed connection and momentum in the field, shaped by the return to in‑person engagement in 2025 and the continued evolution of assessment practice nationwide. Across two years of conference activity, presenters explored emerging uses of artificial intelligence, introduced new assessment models and frameworks, shared practical tools for curriculum mapping and learning outcomes alignment, and examined the relationship between assessment and student success. Together, the works in this issue offer a timely snapshot of how institutions are navigating a rapidly changing landscape while sustaining a shared commitment to continuous improvement in support of student learning.
