Welcome to the Fall 2024 edition of Law, History, and Society, the journal of the Florida Pre- Law Review. This is our first publication after our name change, but the second publication by our organization!

As the first of its kind at UF, our journal serves as a forum for undergraduate students passionate about legal research to engage in academic inquiry, debate contemporary legal issues, and contribute to the broader legal discourse. Published by the University of Florida Library Press, our journal stands apart as the only publication of its kind directly affiliated with UF. Established with the vision of fostering a community of aspiring legal minds, Law, History, and Society is entirely student-run and is designed to mimic the editorial and publication process of a law school journal. Through a diverse range of articles, case analyses, and commentary pieces, our journal explores a myriad of legal topics spanning all facets of law. By encouraging critical thinking and scholarly dialogue, we aim to cultivate a deeper understanding of legal principles and their real-world applications among our contributors and readers alike. We thank you for joining us for our second issue, as we embark on a quest to explore the ever-evolving landscape of law illustrated by the undergraduate pre-law community at the University of Florida.
