Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into the legal profession is an emerging development with the potential to reshape how legal work is conducted. This paper introduces how AI may enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and expand access to justice. The discussion highlights how law firms might streamline operations and enable lawyers to concentrate on more complex, strategic tasks by examining tools such as predictive analytics, legal research software, and automated document review. However, the widespread adoption of AI also raises significant ethical concerns, including biases in decision-making, fairness issues, and job displacement. The paper examines these challenges, emphasizing the importance of transparency and ethical oversight in AI applications. Additionally, it considers the future role of lawyers in an AI-driven legal landscape, proposing that AI will augment rather than replace human lawyers. Lastly, it stresses the need for legal education to adapt to these technological advancements while safeguarding justice and equity.
