Abstract

With a recent rapid growth of misinformation due to modern media narratives in this technological era, the legal and political landscape is just as altered. Interpretations of politics and accountability are altering standards of truth in the law. Online narratives have an increasing hold on public perception, leading to heightened distrust and polarization, which isolates individuals in their beliefs. This dynamic undermines the representation of jurors and legal interpretations. Identity-based political polarization is intensified by digital media, where echo chambers enable alienating ideologies and support platforms for extremist views. Furthermore, the media’s misrepresentation of complex legal issues erodes the integrity of legal processes.
