Abstract

A decentralized framework utilizing blockchain technology is introduced to mitigate the proliferation of AI-generated misinformation. While generative artificial intelligence offers significant creative potential, it has also facilitated the rapid production of hyper-realistic synthetic media, undermining digital trust and information integrity. Current verification methods, crowdsourced fact-checking to removable metadata manifests, fail to provide a durable and independent record of content origin, this research positions blockchain as an essential complement to current approaches.
